Why You Should Care About Your Gut Health
We all know that feeling when something isn’t quite right with our bodies; whether it be a stomach ache or a headache, we immediately want to take care of ourselves and make sure everything is okay. But what if one of the solutions was to focus on improving your gut health? Believe it or not, promoting optimal gut health can have a huge impact on both your physical and mental well-being.

The Link Between Your Gut and Your Health
Your gut health is an essential part of keeping your body healthy and functioning properly. Poor gut health has been linked to inflammation in the body, which can lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. Additionally, poor gut health has been associated with depression and anxiety due to its connection with the brain-gut axis—a system of communication between our digestive system and our brain. An unhealthy balance of bacteria in the gut can also cause harmful bacteria to grow, leading to intestinal issues such as leaky gut syndrome.

How To Promote Optimal Gut Health
Fortunately, there are plenty of ways you can promote optimal gut health! Eating probiotic-rich foods like sauerkraut and kombucha helps replenish beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract. Additionally, increasing fiber intake by eating more fruits and vegetables helps keep digestion regular. Reducing stress levels is also key for promoting optimal gut health—try meditating or doing yoga for 10 minutes per day to help reduce stress hormones that can negatively affect digestion. Lastly, avoiding processed foods is always a good idea since they can be hard for the body to digest properly.

It’s easy to forget about our gut health but it plays an essential role in maintaining overall wellness. Taking the time to focus on your digestive system will pay off immensely in the long run—not just helping you avoid chronic illnesses but also giving you more energy and improving your mental clarity as well! So don’t neglect your digestive system—start making small changes today that will help promote optimal gut health!

I share what I learn and what has helped me.
I am not a doctor.  This is not medical advice.

Meet Tonya Lamb

Most of my life I have struggled with hypothyroid, lack of energy, weight issues and a few autoimmune issues. I had things I wanted to do, but my energy level dropped lower than it had ever been as I got older, and I just did not have the motivation and focus to get all the things done I wanted to do.  In my mind had so many things on the to do list, but my body would say "not today."

Then one day I came across an article that hit home with me, it hit on so many of the things I had been experiencing and so much of it made sense.  At that moment I decided I am sick of feeling this way and I am going to get more serious about my wellbeing.  I started implementing recommendations from that article and doing some more research on the information.

It took months for me to start noticing a difference, but I knew this was going to be a long journey.  Now I am feeling more energized, happier, my autoimmune issues are much better.  Overall, I feel much better about myself.  I am treating my body better and keeping a healthier environment in my home.  I look forward to doing all the things I have wanted to do but did not have the energy for.  I have even been thinking about getting back into some weight training to get my muscle tone up.

If you struggle with focus, low energy, hormone issues, weight issues and want to start feeling your best and get your life back reach out to me. I am happy to help you.
